This is the NCX on steroids -- the high flex response and wide wind range is coupled with a new zero monofilm construction. All new proprietary materials allow us to build in the highest level of durability with no weight penalty.
The foot angle has been raised slightly over the NCX to make it more maneuver oriented, and SuperX capable. The cutaway clew allows shorter boom lengths to be used, resulting in a more direct feel.
The Gator utilizes our new Homogenous Batten Concept. Different batten configurations are used in different sizes in order to get a consistent feel between sail sizes. Smaller sails use 5 battens above the boom and higher shaping in order to increase drive through the board. Mid sizes use 2 battens below the boom to increase lift and reduce the down force on the board. Large sizes have an extra batten added above the boom to give a more direct feel consistent with the other sizes.
Rig Ergonomics: Balanced power distribution through both rig and board. Neutral leg pressure. Huge sweet spot.
Board type: FreeMove boards, FreeRide boards, and SuperX boards.
