Ben Severne
Ben's obvious obsession with creating the ultimate products is the driving force behind Severne Sails. His new school approach to design is a combination of pushing the technology envelope of materials and software, combined with extensive on-the-water testing.
His background in competitive sailing and fifteen years of dedicated sail design experience has enabled Severne Sails to become the ultimate product driven sail brand. Severne Sails has attracted an extremely technically oriented team which shares BenŐs drive for perfection.

Jesper Orth
Heading up Severne's race and freerace sail program, Jesper was the first person to join Severne's sail development program, where his unique combination of sail making, design, and racing experience gives him an excellent perspective.
His focus on testing and development ensures we continuously feed race-winning sails to our team and, ultimately, to production. When not at a World Cup or weekend race, he can be found tucked away in our Perth R&D facility, hand-crafting the next race machine. Originally from Denmark, Jesper is regarded as pretty weird by the rest of the non-European design team.

Trent Pedersen
As Severne's marketing manager, Trent's background in designing and building sails, coupled with a strong business knowledge, allows him to put fresh a perspective on many aspects of the SEVERNE business.
Originally from New Zealand, he now handles all of the marketing and general
management from the headquarters in Thailand.

Clinton Filen
Managing the design center and product process in Perth. Clinton's strong technical and design background allows him to work with the design team to turn advanced conceptual ideas into the ultimate product available in stores.
A keen technologist, his interest is as much in theoretical design and material development as in the nuts-and-bolts of mass production and marketing. A strong competitive background in racing and wave sailing ensures his in-depth understanding of the products. Clinton enjoys playing music and harbors an intense dislike for gardening.

He spends his time prototyping, testing with Jesper, and traveling to our production facilities to fine-tune all points for mass production. Known for his Jimi Hendrix meets Adam Sandler fashion savvy, he is extensively featured in this years rigging guides.
